As of today, November 17, 2018, any post with links, any links, even to other tumblr posts, just don’t show up anymore in tumblr’s search engine.
I just found out about it, after I posted a fic with a link to my masterlist and it got little to no notes (it shuldn’t). I was right - the moment I deleted the links, my post magically appeared in the search again. Wow.
This affects artists who want to cross promote their work, writers who want to link to previous chapters or to a masterlist, and editors who want to link to their YouTube channels, among just a few. This new policy will kill content creators’ ability to spread their work, and for what? A poor attempt to use the algorithm to crack down on porn bots and scammers? Sad.
In the meantime, here’s what I suggest: post your work with no added links, and tell people to check the notes for your masterlist, story navigation, links to ko-fi, patreon, and other social media sites. Make sure you have all those things ready, then paste it into a reblog and have people access them that way. It’s stupid, but it’s a work around we’ll have to use until tumblr gets their act together.

Honest to god I can’t understand anything any of them say.
It’s two gay guys using hockey terms to catcall the two presumably straight hockey players (riley and jonesy) who then counter by being comfortable enough to accept the compliments. The conversation then continues along to describe different words and terms for a variety of queer folk as if said words were also hockey players. So when they say a word got cut it’s merely a euphanism for people agreeing not to use that term. The whole scene is two (presumably straight) men being educated gently on the subject by two gay men and listening rather than bickering.
I just had to think about what would have happened if Poe had gone with Finn instead of Rose….
It wouldn’t have changed the overall storyline that much BUT it would have made a lot more sense why Holdo didn’t reveal her plan. Why would she tell it to some low mechanic girl… And it would have added a lot to Rose’ character if she had made a stand and confronted the admiral on the bridge… Rose who had lost her sister in a losing battle, Rose hotheaded and stubborn who wants to change the universe by joining the resistence but still having so little control over what was actually happening…
And Poe and Finn? Well, they still would have went to the casino, they still would have been captured and fled BUT it would have been Poe who shows Finn what they are fighting for, Poe who was it from the beginning, who set the first spark of rebellion in Finns heart when they escaped the First Order in TFA, not some random girl he barely knew… The chase, the fight againt Phasma it all would have have come full circle with Poe and Finn from the beginning of TFA to the end of TLJ. If Disney wouldn’t be such cowards it would have been a great chance to make StormPilot canon and introduce a great, independent female character at the same time. Just THIS SMALL CHANGE would have made a difference, it could have written history and it makes me angry because Finn and Poe and Rose they deserved so much more than this half-hearted written storyline…
